Top Up yur Anti Freeze

I heard this comment on the radio recently. I was always under the impression that anti freeze is in fact called coolant and should be checked regularly to ensure there is no leaks in the system and the present cold weather has no relevance. I hope i am correct.

The terms are used interchangeably but if you want to be pedantic the anti-freeze is the undiluted stuff you buy from the motor-factors and the coolant is the stuff in the car's cooling system i.e. anti-freeze diluted in the correct ratio with water.

Use the manufacturers' stuff and do not mix the colours.
