thanks

Visit Cobh........ go to Midleton Distillery.......Kinsale is nice.......Fitzgeralds Park in the city.......to the beach.........UCC........St Finnbarr's Cathedral......Blarney and its Castle.....the English market in the middle of the city......Shandon bells........Murphy's Brewery........GAA stadium?

Midleton Distillery. Mahon Point of Douglas Shopping Centres.
Cobh or Youghal, very picturesque.. nice for day out and spot of lunch.

There is a marathon on bank holiday Monday so expect traffic delays / restrictions in the city.

You could make a trip to Trabolgan in East Cork. I haven't been there in years (as I don't have children) but they have entertainment for young kids, e.g. Barney shows, etc. There is a good swimming pool there and it is very family friendly. Check out their website - www.trabolgan.com There are also a number of play places where you can bring kids - there is one in Glanmire (Monkey Maze) and one in Midleton (don't know the name of that one). Both an easy drive from Silversprings.
If the weather is suitable for Fota, bring a picnic from Marks and Spencers or somewhere as there is only one cafe there and the queues can be long.

Do nothing of the sort.... Cork is wonderful. Visit Ballycotton (nice seaside village) and either stop off there for something to eat, or Ballymaloe on your way. Sunday lunch there is wonderful, but ring beforehand. In that area you also have Shanagarry Pottery, well worth a visit.
Do the tour bus of Cork, stop off in Cork Gaol.... the old one, Out to Blarney, and enjoy the sights.
