My question i am working 9-5 in the republic and pay paye tax there. i currently reside in the north and have just set up a small service at weekends which is doing quite well for the short space of time its up and going. the private service is for a company in the south although i plan to branch into a northen market to, do i register as self employed in north or south or can i pick and choose where i register as self employed.

As you are resident in the UK, I trust that although you are paying PAYE in ROI, you should declare this income on your UK tax return and receive a credit for ROI tax paid.

As to your other questions, it depends on a lot of things like whre you are supplying the services, do you do the actual work in the UK or ROI?

This is a complex issue and you need to take professional advice in this regard.

PM me for more information.
