Tax credit cert - tax band increase

Hi,

On my tax credit cert for 2013, there is an increase to the tax rate 1 band of 64 (flat rate expenses). Where does this figure come from?

Thanks Joe. I thought those expenses would appear in the Tax credits section (there is an entry here for flat rate expenses 12.80), I didn't think there would also be an increase (64.00) in the tax rate bands.

Would appreciate any information - I'm trying to make sure I understand my tax situation!

If you earn over 32,400 then that's the way the tax system deals with the credit. If they did not increase the standard rate band then you would pay tax at 41% with a credit of €12.
