Taking skybox to UK

Hi all,
I am wondering if the Sky in the UK points to the same sattelite as in Ireland and if my skybox will work in the UK. I am working in London for the next while and there is a sky dish that is shared among all the apartments in the building. It would be great if I could just bring over my own receiver and also I would be able to see the Irish tv channels.

Only thing to remember about Sky boxes is that each card is tied to the box, so you can't use someone else's card in your box and vice versa.
