Supplementary Welfare allowance - Mortgage interest relief

We have been receiving mortgage interest relief since last year - I got a contract job in July and my husband rang the CWO twice and gave him his RSI no to let him know our circumstances had changed but they are still paying the weekly mortgage interest relief, what I want to know is do you get it for a year and then they review it or should they have stopped the payment when I started work, is it discretionary or what - we have the money sitting in the bank but are afraid to spend it in case we have to pay it back but I could really use it to pay next months mortgage.

Anyone any advice!
 
The Supplement should have been reviewed following your change of circumstances last July. I suggest you contact the CWO again and let him/her know. Make it clear that you contacted the office at the time and ask for confirmation of continued entitlement to the supplement.
