Hi there,
I am a student receiving the Back to Education Allowance, also recognized under the other following name; ‘’BETA’’. These are payments which I get of the Department of Family Affairs each week, equivalent to the regular welfare payments, standing at €185.00 per week.
I am living in Dublin, I moved to Dublin two months ago and have decided to apply for rent allowance, pending my landlord is willing to accept. I do know that I’m entitled to this extra benefit.
I am paying €380.00 per month towards rent in a shared house which resides three tenants including myself.
(The Question)
Am I exceeding my needs by paying €380.00 per month? What is the maximum limit for Dublin (Santry?)
Thank you
Adam
