I received a statement yesterday from ub, for an easy access savings account that was opened in my name - i didn't open it!
the balance was zero and didn't show any transactions on it, statement was from oct 06-may07.
when i calle the bank they suggested that i had ssia's or bonds or anything which i don't. i only have a current acc which was opened 5yrs ago. they couldn't explain who or how the 'new' account was opened but are checking it out and going to call me back (manager).
has anyone ever had this happen before?
