Sky+ and phone volume problem

Having just had Sky+ installed, we're now noticing a problem with the volume of our phonecalls ie callers to us say we're sounding very faint. I've checked the cabling and it all seems normal. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong? Or do I need a new phone?

are you using cordless phone. good chance vol is turned down. Most models you need to be on a call to up and down the volume.

Remote chance that sky+ has anything to do with it.

Do you have broadband on landline - perhaps the line splitter was removed and not replaced, check that.
