my policy with Laya is up from 1/3, and we are currently on the following 2 Adults on Flex 175 explore and 2 children (13&9) on Essential connect family.
Day to day medical exps not a major concern, but for adults want cover in private hospitals, and cover for the like of hips, knees and also cardio cover, with minimal shortfall. Used to be with VHI and moved when they only covered 80%,
Our health is good, touch wood and have not had to spend any nights or days in hospital.
Last years premium was 2135, and this years quote for same policy (only pay for 1 child) is 2331, so 10% increase, so what are the alternatives given the likes of VHI have reduced prices. The price is not the sole consideration, if there are better policies for similar price.
