Hi, my husband (age 77) policy is due for renewal on 1/1/2020; cover is Simply Connect; quote is €1,230. Just saw recent queries here re Simplicity (which we had 2 years ago before changing to S.Connect). Wonder if it’s worth changing back to Simplicity for the year 2020? Mine’s same except for renewal on 1 Feb 2020. Thanks in advance

allencat3,

The only reason to switch from Simply Connect to Simplicity is if you think a private room in a private hospital is a priority.
There is a 100 excess for day to day medical expenses on Simplicity plan so it means the first 100 is non-refundable.
It just means a slightly lower refund for consultant visits, physio, gp etc.
This plan will cost 1370 per adult, so unless a private room is important, I wouldn't switch.

Regards, Snowyb
