Putting some money away for a while - is APR fixed?

I have recently been interested in putting some savings into the likes of Investec or NR Demand Online.

I was wondering if the rate is subject to change once you have money in them, or do you always get the %rate you joined at?

I see the rates are falling recently and would like to get some lodged soon.

It depends if you go for a fixed term deposit or an on demand account.

the likes of Investec or NR Demand Online.

NR Demand Online rate is variable.

Investec offer a few savings products. Their best rate is 5.50% for a 6 months term deposit.
