Been invited with my wife by the ombudsman to kickoff (firstly with a phone call) to meet PTSB regarding my complaint of existing customers not being offered same rate as new customers (particularly the 2 year fixed New rate 3.2%), having already received my "Final Response" on the matter from PTSB. From a lay persons david v goliath type perspective like ourselves, any points to argue are most welcome from you ? PTSB "Final Response" letter says they are meeting regulation blah blah and blah blah we are entitled to offer better rates to new customers over existing customers like any other business. Any views against this ? As far as I recall PTSB is majority owned by the State/taxpayer and in my opinion the government are not exerting enough control over them.
