problem with accountant

Hi all,

I set up a company in 2011. I'm the only employee. Very few expenses (no mileage, some IT equipment - approx 1000 euro).

My accountant said he would file my annual returns last October.

I have received a letter from the CRO to say that my annual returns have not been received.

My emails and phonecalls to the accountant have not been responded to.

Not sure what to do next.

Any advice appreciated.

Have accounts been prepared to April 12? Did you receive B1 and abridged accounts to be signed last October. Did you pay a fee for prep of accounts, filing a CT1 and B1?

If you have had all the above done by your accountant and they failed to file the signed B1, then they should now file the audited accounts and pay the late filing fees.

If not then I think that there has been a breakdown in communication and you must bear some responsibility.

Clearly you need to talk with them as a new auditor will charge you a large fee for the audited accounts.
