Probate granted April
Got a letter from revenue saying anything you receive before 30 Aug 2022 subject to CAT
Received a portion, not all, in October
This amount is above tax free threshold
Do I
A) pay tax at all this year as Received after 30 Aug
B) do I have to pay CAT on the full over threshold probate amount or just the liable portion I've received to date?
