Just had a call from my dad to say that Pearse Street in Dublin is closed because of a building collapse. Can't access AA Roadwatch from here...Can anyone verify?

AA site:

Lombard St is also closed. Traffic coming from Grand Canal Street is being diverted along the Canal towards Leeson Street. Traffic coming into the city along Pearse Street is being diverted via Macken Street, the Canal and Leeson Street. However, you're advised to avoid the area if possible. * Further out, extreme care advised at Newlands Cross where traffic lights are out of action. The Naas Rd inbound is the worst affected. Avoid if possible. Major delays as a result. An engineer is at the scene. * Close by, lights are out of action at the Outer Ring Rd/Grifeen Rd junction. Slow down on approach. * No incidents reported for the M50 in either direction.
*EVENTS* * Rihanna plays at the RDS in Ballsbridge tonight at 7pm. Extra traffic than usual can be expected in the area before and after the event, particularly, Anglesea Rd, Merrion Rd, Simmonscourt Rd, Shelbourne Rd and Pembroke Rd.
*TRAVEL NEWS* *LIFFEY FERRY* The Liffey Ferry service in Dublins Docklands has been suspended due to high winds today. *IRISH FERIES* All sailings on the Irish Ferries Johnathon Swift between Dublin and Holyhead have been cancelled today. Passengers will be accommodated on the Cruise Ferry sailing at 8:55pm.
*ROADWORKS & INFORMATION* * In Dundrum, a traffic management plan that was in place outbound on Main St just past the Dundrum Town Centre has been removed due to the high winds, which made it impossible to continue with the dismantling of a crane. The work will not be in place until Wed 27th Feb at the earliest. * Lane restrictions will be in place on Kill Lane until the end of Nov. The restrictions will be in place from N11/Foxrock Church to Bakers Corner for QBC and cycle track works. Works will be in place from 7am to 7pm daily.

Yes it is true - it says major traffic disruptions in the area, emergency services are dealing with unsafe building.

Apparently a piece of the roof from TCD's new science block fell off and damaged a car
