Has anyone tried these? Are they a scam? Are there any genuine companies out there that really send you a cheque?
 
Can you link to an example by any chance? In the absence of any detailed information or prior knowledge all I would say is read the terms & conditions carefully, be carefuly of divulging personal details to somebody you don't necessarily trust and if it looks like it's too good to be true then it probably is (too good to be true).

Anyway, these are only a few of many examples that one can find on Google.

I'm curious to know if anyone has tried any of them and been successful - I'm a cynic by nature so am assuming they are all scams.
 
One useful tip is to enter the name and the word "scam" into Google and see what sort of results crop up.
