Motor Open Drive Insurance = Driver Excluded??

I bought Comprehensive insurance for my van last week over the phone, it was for Open Drive. When the proposal form came from the insurance company it stated that Injury to Driver was Excluded - surely this isn't Comprehensive insurance for Open Drive. The whole idea of Comprehensive compared to 3rd Party is that damage to my van and my person would be covered.

Could this be right?
Has anyone else checked their Open Drive policy and found that Injury to Driver wasn't included?

Completely incorrect. The different between comprehensive and third party fire and theft is that comprehensive provides for accidental damage to your own vehicle.

Injury to drivers is covered under certain policies that may include personal accident cover but it is not the norm. The reason being that if you crash a car and it is due to your own negligence, why would you expect to be covered for your own error/stupidity. If another party is to blame, then you proceed with your claim against them for your injuries.
