NR Question re guarantee and 5% bonus interest

Does any one know what amount is guarnteed by NR or its regulator?

I know that with Rabo the first 20,000 is guaranteed/protected, and 90% of 20,000 over this by its regulator.

Also jsut checked my NR account and the interest on it is showing 5%. Does anyone know how long this will last for. I remember I received something in the post on this a while back about being a bonus for staying with NR. Any one remember how long it will last for?

You mean under the Dutch Central Bank deposit compensation scheme?

Also jsut checked my NR account and the interest on it is showing 5%.

Their rate is 4.5% but they are paying an additional bonus to savers of 0.5% CAR for January and February 2008.

Does anyone know how long this will last for.

Their rate guarantee until January 2009 is to pay at least the ECB (currently 4%).
