Moving from Vodafone to Three (Pre Pay)

My daughter is moving from Vodafone to Three and I attempted to do it for her last night. I rang Three first who told me I needed a "BAC" code from Vodafone. Rang Vodafone , they told me that this wasn't necessary and all I had to do was contact Three again and get them to contact Vodafone. Got nowhere in the end, has anybody any experience of this type of thing?

Go to any branch of Car Phone Warehouse. They are agents for 02, Vodafone, Meteor and Three.
