Mortgage Protection with Mortgage Interest Supplement

Hi,

Anyone know if its possible to still apply for Mortgage Interest supplement if already receiving JobSeekers Benefit when you have a mortgage protection policy currently on that mortgage via your lender? Im 8 months out of work post redundancy (actively looking!) and the protection policy will only pay out for another 3 and thats it! Does my lender have to provide the protection detail to the CWO?
 
You won't be eligible for Mortgage Interest Supplement while the Protection Policy is in payment. You can apply once it ceases.

If I recall, there is a question on the application form which is completed by your lender asking if a protection policy exists, so your lender would have to declare it.
