I am looking at taking a career break from public sector to take a CEO position with a start up company.
While on career break, I forfeit all my death in service benefits, spouses and childrens scheme etc. under my current semi state pension
I therefore need to put in place equivalent cover for a 3 year period that I will be out of the state sector. (clearly if the business is a success I won't be coming back, but it is a huge perk to have the fall back option). So basically I want to buy a lump sum cover which will equate to the benefit of my state deal. I am 40.
Is it possible to buy life cover for a 3 year period ? Or should I be looking at a completely different product ?
