If you have a child who has turned 18 there is a scheme with Laya for Young Adults 18-24 called Signify Plus for €471 per annum which isn't bad.
It seems to give good private hospital (semi-private) and day case cover. Plus the usual range of digital health services including 2 free online digital GP consultations, the nurse helpline and €200 cover for the minor injuries walk-in clinics. It has an outpatients excess of €150 and some of the cover for other practitioners like physio, speech therapy, etc aren't covered.
