If an employee's work week is changed from 5 days to 3 days one week and two days the next how long will they be entitled to receive jobseekers benefit for? I thought it was 312 days but have just heard of someone who reapplied and got the benefit approved based on their RSI record of full contributions although they didnt suffer a loss of earnings in the previous 13 weeks. When checked with social welfare was told each individual case will be assesed by deciding officer.So this seems to indicate flexibility but just wondering on what basis the normal rules might not apply. In any case if they go back to work fulltime after 13 weeks fulltime employment am I correct in saying that they can reapply and receive benefit for another 312 days?
