"It looks like your Revolut card is in sterling"

Automatic top up seems to have stopped working on my Revolut card.

When I went to add euro to it today , I got the message "It looks like your Revolut card is in sterling. Top up in this currency to avoid bank fees"

Where is it getting that idea?

Separately, I tried to suck money into it from my AIB account and it said that AIB declined the transfer. I am not surprised as I was not redirected to AIB to approve it.

Anyone else got these problems?

Brendan

Brendan, when you're in the app, if you click on your profile photo it should show you what your base currency is. Something like:

Account details
Name Personal - EUR
Then an IBAN and BIC

If it says GBP then that's the issue. I don't think that's likely to be the problem as I don't think you can change your base currency but just in case there has been an error.

When you're topping up are you sure that you have selected your EUR account in Revolut? I have GBP and USD also and have made the mistake of trying to top them up with my EUR debit card.

Regularly have problems with Revolut top-up from AIB with their secure authentication failing etc. Deffo an AIB problem. Sometimes I feel like they don't like Revolut. :)
