Have to replace the Mineral Felt on my sizeable Flat Roof at the side of my house. Thinking of changing to a "lean-to" with rafters 6 by 2 (150 by 50) sarking felt and Thrutone slates.
The new roof space will not be excessable on completion.Bad Idea?
Where should I place the Insulation? On top of the existing Flat roof or between the new Rafters? Fibreglass or xtratherm boards? Should I use Vent slates and also a vapour barrier.
The old roof will be basically intact during and after this project. Thanks
