Illness benefit - time frame for reply from Dept. of Social Protection?

Hi all, I applied for illness benefit on Friday 24th June, I have not heard anything from the Dept so far. Does anyone know is this normal, what is the usual time frame does anyone know in regards to them coming back to me.

My first day sick was Monday 20th June and I posted in the Illness Benefit forms that day.

I received a letter on Friday 24th saying my claim was approved.

3 days illness benefit arrived in my account on Sat 25th.

The full €208 for 6 days arrived in my account today 02nd July.

Very efficient, in my case anyway.
