I own a house with a sibling, and I was recently unsuccessful in renewing my life cover (that could be a whole other post!), and this prompted me to do a bit of homework around what would happen if I died, without having life cover.
A solicitor has told me, that if I die, and even if I "will" my half of the house to someone other than my sibling, it will still go to my sibling. Obviously if I have no life cover, the debt goes to my sibling, but that's beside the point...
Does anyone know what I can do about this? I wish to "will" it to someone else (and I hope to fight for life cover asap).
Thanks.
