just read the thread about standard spending on wedding gifts in Ireland, but wondering if its the same in the UK? At my last wedding in cork, i spent €150 on a gift between two of us. Just wondering if thats the standard amount to pay for a gift in england? BFriend and I attending his cousins wedding in a few weeks.He doesnt know his cousin that well and has not met the bride to be. We are flying over and prob will have to book into a hotel for 2 nights. They have a house of fraser gift list set up- with lots of small items like bed linen, towels, kitchen utensils. Looks like we will have to pick out a few items and buy. But whats the standard amount? (if you have been to a UK wedding recently, can you let me know what you spent on gift in sterling£'s) Cheers
