How do I use a postbank Maestro online?

Hi there

I've tried to buy some ebooks from Waterstone UK with postbank's MAESTRO. I have either the choice between Swicht/Maestro with Issue Number or Switch/Maestro without Issue number. In the latter case I have to give the start date.

i)There is no start date printed on the card.
ii) What could be the issue number? On the front there is the card number and a code like A1234
iii) What is the security code? On the back there is a code like 1234567890.
 
Short answer is you can't use it online period. I have debated this at length with postbank. The short answer is it cannot be used where the cardholder is not present. It will not even work by swiping where a chip and pin reader fails.

The number on the back is a customer number unique to postbank for online banking and is not an issue number or a CV2/security number.
