2015 - Bought and moved into a new house. Sold with Homebond.
2016 - Contacted Homebond and was told "Please note that the Certificate of Insurance (Final Certification) has not issued for the Dwelling and accordingly cover is not available
2017 - After a year of legal wrangling, I've been informed that a 'final inspection' by Homebond is required so as to issue a 'Final Certificate'

A final inspection 18 months after we've moved in sounds odd. Any thoughts? Thanks

Two thoughts.

Your solicitor should have highlighted this before you completed the purchase.

A homebond guarantee isn't worth much.

Ask anyone with pyrite issues just how much homebond is worth.
