I need to buy a small gift for a 40th birthday soon. The person in question was born and reared near Dublin city centre and I had seen this book in Waterstones at the weekend. It is by Dierdre Purcell. I flicked through it and thought it was a nice nostalgic book but would appreciate some reviews from any AAM posters who have read it.
