Hi All

Have just bought a house with Oil fired central heating

I want to get a gas connection to the house for heating and cooker.

I belive there is a gas mains outside the house.

Gas Networks Ireland website says it costs €250 to connect a house to an existing gas network adjascent to the property (up to 15 metres). Does anyone know if this includes a gas meter?

Also can I just get internal piping to supply gas to the cooker and then install a new gas boiler to replace the oil one at a later date?

I'd guess it does, but they'll give you a full quote if you contact them on 1850 200 694 or email [email protected]

When you're getting internal pipework done for the cooker, get it done to the future location of the boiler as well to save on the disruption later on.
