A person with income per notice of assessment of €21000 and 4 children. How much Fis should they get. I would have thought ((720*52)-21000)*60%)= around €190pw. They are however getting around 250 pw. Am i missing something?

Is 21K the net income after tax and PRSI? Are they paying out maintenance? Also if they applied a while ago and their income has risen - FIS doesn't get reassessed for a year.

No 21K approx was gross but no income tax payable. Just small bit of PRSI. No this is the figures they submitted to get FIS. Just wondering is it anything to do with the fact that there are twins in family (are they getting it for 5 kids instead of 4 or something, like the childrens allowance)

190 would be the correct weekly FIS payable on a net income of 21k . There is no extra allowance for twins! To get 250 per week, the weekly income would be around 300 net by my calc.

salary of 30000.00 a year single parent paying 1300 euro mortgage would i be entitled to any fis payment?
