First time buyers and marriage?

I'll preface this msg by saying I tried to do simple and advanced search on this topic b4 posting, but got a blank screen for results.
I got married 3+ years ago. Husband has own home and mortgage at that stage.
I am not on the mortgage although I pay into it. I have never bought a house myself.
If I was to buy a property just in my name would I be considered a first-time buyer, or is that just chancing my arm?

The vBulletin search seems a bit flakey. Better to use Google to do a site specific search of AAM - e.g. for example enter the following in the Google search box:

site:askaboutmoney.com clubman robot

to see what you get.
