The EV charge points in Fernhill Gardens have been withdrawn.
There were about 10 charge points operating in August.
I was walking there on a weekday morning in August and all charge points were in use and one car was queueing. The play ground and green area beside the running track were full of happy children playing. Presumably many of these children were there because their parents were charging their cars. There are hundreds of apartments close by with no driveways to accommodate home chargers.
There is now a notice from DLRCO stating that the charging service is no longer being provided and that the nearest charge point is at the Clayton Hotel in Leopardstown. I suppose these children will now be sitting in their parents cars or in the hotel lobby while their parents charge their cars.
