entitlements after redundancy

Hi my company has just announced they will be closing our office from end of this month. I have 5 years service, am only working part time and will be getting a statutory redundancy package. My query is, i am a single parent so am getting one parent family payment as well as rent allowance so what will happen with these payments? If i am unlucky finding a job i will need to apply for full payments rather than partial payments but will i be entitled to them if i get a redundancy payout? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

You should ask for your OPFP to be reviewed after being made redundant. You are obliged to notify them of your change in circumstances and, in any case, you may find yourself better off. Also, you can get half-rate JB as well as your OPFP so claim that as soon as you are made redundant.
