Engagement ring in amsterdam or antwerp?

hi all,
has anyone any experience of purchasing an engagement ring in amsterdam? would i be better off travelling to antwerp? travelling to amsterdam in a few weeks for a few days with herself and intentions are to ask the big question, i am researching luxury hotels at the moment, recommendtions welcome.
