Started reading about about this investment vehicle in the Sunday Business Post yesterday.

I like the sound of them. Has anybody on this site used invested in them.

To an amateur like me the incentive appear to be a good hedge against taxation due for Dividend payments and CGT built up during the year as well as an investment opportunity.

Has anybody invested in the funds?

Probably be a better idea if you told us all what you're talking about ?

I offer them to client who want something different to pensions or who want to shelter rental income. One of the few ways of sheltering all incomes in Ireland. It invests in SME's so does carry more risk than investments in large cap companies. That is why I recommend people invest in funds, rather than one company scheme, spread the risk. The EII schemes have been running for 5 years and it is a 4 year play, so there is only one year of records for them.

+1 on the funds. The reward on single scheme or fund is capped at 110% of investment. Therefore there is less risk of a total loss on a fund.
