Ebay and CGT

Just wondering,
I want to have a bit of a clear out, and was thinking of putting some stuff on ebay to sell. I suspect that I won't make much - possibly 1000 euro, am I liable to pay tax? Or would this fall under cgt, and therefore be below the limit? If this thread is in the wrong category, I apologise.

Thanks!

The sale of chattels (basically moveable stuff) is exempt from CGT provided the proceeds are less than €2,540 or are entirely exempt if they are wasting chattels (goods whose value decreases over time, like cars).

So, no CGT on the sale of goods on e-bay.

Neither is there any income tax, unless you starting buying goods to sell on e-bay with the view to making a profit.

So just to clarify, if I sell a small amount of items on ebay, I won't be liable for any tax whatsoever?

No taxes........CGT limit €1000+ per year...anyway you are selling in most cases a depreciating asset not an appreciating one.
