my son has been diagnosed with ADHD and has started medication. He also has ODD which stands for oppositional defiance disorder. does any one know if i will qualify for the domicilary carers allowance him. thanks for your time

Domicillary Care Allowance is an Allowance paid by HSE to a child "in need of constant care and attention". On application (Form available on HSE website) an assessment will be done before any decision is made.

If this application is successful a Carer's Allowance (Means tested) may be applied for to Carer's Allowance Section of the Dept of Social and Family Affairs by completing the application Form.

WARNING This a a very slow process form both areas so much patience is required
