Complaint regarding KBC variable rate mortgages

Jim

I obviously appreciate that Subotai is annoyed - that's perfectly clear.

I simply expressed surprise that someone who was on a lower rate than the vast, vast majority of (non tracker) variable rate borrowers was so irritated by the fact that somebody else was on a marginally lower rate with the same lender.

Subotai said that he wasn't annoyed by the fact that his lender was giving a better deal to other borrowers in his position - but rather he was annoyed at the fact that his lender wasn't giving him the same deal as new borrowers in his position.

What's the difference between these two statements?

I certainly didn't suggest or imply that there was any jealousness or bitterness on the part of Subotai - don't know why you are reading that into my post.

Again, I did try to emphasise that Subtai should switch to another lender if a better deal was available elsewhere. If a better deal is not available elsewhere, what does it matter what deal other borrowers have with his lender?
