Is someone having a laugh with this, or are they serious?

If anyone doesn't recognise it - it's O'Gara in an advertisement for silverware.
 
I thought that it was only the British which rewarded failure.

Now we are at it. Instead of getting abuse for dreadful performances, he gets lucrative contracts.

I think all of these were in place before the World Cup.

Bit like Eddie's contract.
