I have a downdraft problem with my chimney. The house is a bungalow and the chimney is not higher that the apex of the roof, which seems to be the main cause of the downdraft. Does anyone know of extending the chimney without having to get it built up. Are there any steel extensions that can be added on top?
We are also considering getting an insert stove. Would this also help resolve the downdraft?
