four: we listen more than we talk
five: we make things as simple as possible
six: we practice what we preach
seven: we focus on things we can control
 
Why do you think these are cliches?
In my experience these are hardly the characteristics of financial salespeople.
 
What is this thread about Marc?

Well the "we" suggests an identification with these allegedly "real financial advisers". So in making public this secret manifesto, perhaps Marc is trawling for business?
