If you buy a house and use it as your private residence and rent part of it out using the rent a room tax relief scheme, do you pay CGT on it at time of being sold? Or if you rent the house out completely after 5 years, what are the CGT implications here? Appreciate if anyone could shed some light on it for me.

If you rent a room in your ppr, there are no CGT implications. However if you rent out your property in full there are CGT implications - apportioned between PPR status, exempt status and taxable status.
