CGT calculation when RTSO already paid

I receive shares at a discount from my employer and pay RTSO on the difference. So if the share price is $100, I can purchase them for $85 and pay RTSO on the gain ($15). I do not have to sell the shares immediately.

If I held on to the shares for a few years and then sell them, what is the cost for CGT purposes. From what I can see on Revenues web site, the cost would be $85. I can then subtract the RTSO paid from the CGT due.

If on disposal, the gain is less then the RTSO already paid, is this considered a loss and can it be used to offset other gains.

e.g.: 10 shares sold for $87 (870 - 850), so gain of $20 for CGT.
RTSO already paid: approx $75

Loss of $55

Thanks Gordan. Below are the examples I've found on Revenue.ie. From these, it looks like the base cost is the cost + RTSO paid.

So I was thinking from the example above it would be 850+75 = 925
870-925 = loss of 55
