Hi all.
We got our cavity filled last year with pump in insulation beads, by what we thought were a reputable company. When doing repairs on the wall beside the front door I noticed a strip 6-8 inches wide half the height of the door not filled.
In addition to this, when changing the recessed light bulbs in the family room there was a lot of outside cold air blowing through the joist area. I would have expected that cavity fill to eliminate this completely.
My query is: Does this mean that cavity has not been totally filled? Is there anything I can do to see if this is so? Or is it tough luck and have to live with it now? We didn't go for the grant?
Any advice and comments would really be appreciated. Thanks.
