i am currently paying into a pension which is deducted from my salary, in which my employer also contributes. i was thinking of putting money into a seperate fund myself and was wondering if this is allowed.
also if all your limits on tax relief were used up in the current year can you offset it against tax in coming years.

Thanks

You can make Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs). You can do tis by making AVCs to the existing scheme (if the scheme facilitates AVCs) or by setting up an AVC PRSA of your own choosing.

thanks for that.....on the question of tax relief, if i have used up my limit for this year can i offset it against future years. the reason i want to put it in now is because units prices are low at present.
