Hi;

Can anyone walk into the companies office & ask to see a companies returns ?
Will the company know that some one has seen their returns ?

You can request a copy of a companies returns online (www.cro.ie) for a nominal fee.
A .pdf is then emailed to you.
The company in question is not notified of this, this info is all in the public domain

You can do it online. Its a public record. Don't know whether company can find out.

nobody knows that you have viewed a particular companies annual return.

I know you can order an electronic version vie cro.ie but is it possible to walk into the companies office & see this data ?
Is the companies office in Dublin Castle ?

You can walk in and ask for a copy of whatever document you want. If its not scanned, ie; old file, its photocopied for you.
 
Just make sure that if you are going to the Companies Office in Parnell Square, is for an existing live company. They have all files in house for live companies. For anyone looking for information on struck off / dissolved companies, their files are usually put into storage somewhere after a certain amount of time, so you'd have to order them in advance.
